Twenty Years Old Review

Title: Twenty Years Old
AKA: 20’s / 20 Years Old
Genre: Romance
Episodes: 4
Broadcast period: Jan-2014 to Jan-2014
Cast: Lee Ki Kwang, Lee Da In, Kim Hye Ji and Kang Tae Oh.

After getting her heart broken by her sunbae whom she had been admiring and crushing on Kim Hye Rim (Lee Da In), goes through a self-pity crisis, not caring how she look, and eating all the fast food available. When her roommate and best friend sees it, she takes her to a concert where the performing artists are BEAST, where one of the members in Lee Ki Kwang (Lee Ki Kwang) whom Hye Rim had gone to middle school with. But what Hye Rim doesn’t tell her roommate is that was her best friend and first love, who had taken a kiss from her but didn’t man up to it.
After the concert she by accident makes a fool of herself in front of Ki Kwang, but he seems not to remember her, until she gets a message from him. This becomes the love story of an idol and regular person..

Wow: that is all I can think of. Not that it was a groundbreaking drama, but it was well acted and so honest I think I completely fell for it. It is only 4 episodes of 20 min, but it somehow felt complete, even though I really wouldn’t mind more episodes. Ki Kwang was adorable and surprisingly good - I don’t remember him being this good of an actor. And the female lead Lee Da In was great too, really well acted.
I like that the story had a true feel, like not with the typical Korean drama feel, but somehow it felt like we were watching a real-life story.
I totally recommend this! Go! Go watch it now!
